this was what the corner of our back yard looked like last weekend:

learning how to plant onions:

J is going to build me a shelf in that corner of the fence 

so that i can get my potted herbs off the ground:

corn, tomatoes, onions, carrots

jalapenos, cayenne peppers, banana peppers, bell peppers

some sort of crazy hot jamaican habanero that jake picked out

(package: "handle with gloves")

squash, watermelon, and pumpkin vines to grow around the outside.
