we were lucky this year to get a really great santa.
dude, the whole mall santa thing is a WILD CARD, especially when you are dealing with a kindergartener who truly believes that she just whispered into the ear of old saint nick himself.
last year we got a defunct santa at utica square, who whispered in autumn's ear, "but don't you want a [insert impossible to find toy of the season here, which autumn had NOT asked for and which we had NOT purchased]?
it was, like, three days before christmas at the time and all autumn could talk about was how santa told her that he was going to bring her an [impossible to find toy of the season]!
